(ESPN SpeedWorld 1998-2004 theme)

Allen Bestwick: ESPN, the Worldwide Leader in Sports and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, welcome you to Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for round 20 of the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, the 21st running of the BRICKYARD 400! Welcome inside our Quicken Loans ESPN Pit Studio, everyone. Alongside Andy Petree and Dale Jarrett, I'm Allen Bestwick. Thanks for having us in for the race. Dale, you've won this race twice before. What's it take to win here at the Brickyard?

Dale Jarrett: You need to remain focused here at the Brickyard because trouble can strike anyone anywhere at anytime. We saw that at the Indy 500 in May. One mistake could send you into the wall or into another car and end your day in a hurry here.

Andy Petree: It's also about making about the right calls at the right time. Do you take 2 tires? Do you take 4 tires? Do you take fuel only? The call you make on that final stop will determine whether or not you'll be kissing the bricks at the end of 400 miles.

Allen Bestwick: Set to go for 400 miles here at the Brickyard, let's go down trackside.

Dave Callabro: RACE FANS! IT'S TIME FOR THE MOST FAMOUS WORDS IN MOTORSPORTS! Please welcome Indianapolis Motor Speedway chairperson MARI HULMAN GEORGE!

Mari Hulman George: Ladies and Gentlemen.....Start Your Engines!

(43 800 horsepower engines fire up)

Allen Bestwick: As the pace car pulls off the pit lane to lead the field for the parade laps, we'll take a moment to remind you that today's NASCAR telecast is available in Spanish by utilizing the SAP function on your television. Spanish commentary is provided by ESPN Deportes. We take a look at our starting grid as it rolls across the top of your screen and Dale Jarrett is gonna ring up our In-Race Reporter, Timmy Turner.

Dale Jarrett: Timmy, it's Dale Jarrett in the ESPN booth. You got me?

(IN-RACE REPORTER: Timmy Turner - 20)

Timmy: Got you, Dale.

Dale Jarrett: Timmy, you've got 3 wins on the year. What do you think you can do to get win #4?

Timmy: Like you guys said, we have to make the right calls at the right time and stay out of trouble. Part of that is surviving turn 1, lap 1. You have to stay in it in order to win it. Dick Trickle said it best - If you want to finish first, first you must finish. If I win today....Trixie is definitely gonna be kissing the bricks with me!

Dale Jarrett: Alright, well good luck today, Timmy.

Timmy: 10-4, Dale.

Allen Bestwick: Timmy, of course, talking about his girlfriend, Trixie Tang. She's due any day with twins. The team has Nationwide Series points leader Dan Kuso on standby. Kuso coming off a win here yesterday in the Nationwide race. We'll go 160 laps for 400 miles here at the Brickyard. Don't go over 45 MPH or NASCAR will hit you for speeding and the pit window as projected by our resident crew chief Andy Petree.....around 45-50 laps. Pace car is off! Field now in the hands of Edd and Tommy Pickles! 3 time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves has green flag in hand, we are set to go here in Indianapolis! The 21st Brickyard 400 IS GREEN! Good clean start so far, single file behind them. Edd will lead lap 1 by a bumper over Tommy Pickles but here comes Pickles down low in the 24! He will snatch the lead from the 4 heading into turn 1!

Dale Jarrett: Tommy Pickles got an excellent jump on the start. He just waited for his time to jump and pounced on the 4 going through the frontstretch.

Andy Petree: He just sailed on by, Edd just had no answer for Pickles in the 24.

Allen Bestwick: We have a competition yellow coming up at lap 20 to check tire wear due to torrential rainfall here last night. We are on a green racetrack and that will definitely play a factor in the strategy here today.

Andy Petree: You have to have your car set up for any kind of situation. Racing on a green track is no different. The track will constantly be changing. It will be up to the drivers to tell their crew chiefs what the cars need and when because racing on a green track is an unpredictable matter.

Allen Bestwick: We take a look further back in the field, Otto Rocket making a move on Abigail Lincoln, that's for 9th place. Tommy Pickles' lead has jumped to 1.3 seconds as we are through 5 of the 160 laps here at the Brickyard!

(Lap 20 - Caution 1)

Allen Bestwick: Under caution for the 1st time this afternoon here in Indianapolis, it is the scheduled competition yellow to check tire wear after the torrential rain we had last night. Pits are open and here they come, Dr. Jerry Punch!

Dr. Jerry Punch: Otto Rocket started 17th, he's up to 10th right now, Allen. He said the car's a little too free in 3 and 4, they'll take a round of track bar out of the right rear. 4 tires and fuel for the 3, Rocket's away! Dave Burns?

Dave Burns: 4 tires and fuel for race leader Tommy Pickles, he said the car is flawless! No changes coming the 24's way! Pickles is away! Jamie?

Jamie Little: And the 4 car of Edd reporting an aero loose condition. 4 tires and fuel, wedge adjustment complete, 4 car's away! Otto Rocket will win the race off pit road!

Top 10:

1. Otto Rocket (3)
2. Tommy Pickles (24)
3. Edd (4)
4. Timmy Turner (20)
5. Danny Fenton (16)
6. Phineas Flynn (43)
7. Nigel Uno (1)
8. Jeremy Johnson (31)
9. Guy Hamdon (41)
10. Kim Possible (88)

(RESTART: Lap 26 - 6 caution laps)

Allen Bestwick: 26 laps complete this time by, green flag in the air! We're back racing at the Brickyard and we have a car in the wall! That's the 55 of Vince Lasalle!

Andy Petree: Looks like he was tagged by someone, let's go back and see it again.....

Dale Jarrett: 22 of Tristan Taylor got him. This all started back around the 16th position. That inside line got a great restart, Taylor would have none of it and tagged the 55, sent him into the turn 1 wall.

Andy Petree: And that 55's been a really good race car all week here. That 22 just robbed him blind.

(RESTART: Lap 33 - 7 caution laps)

Allen Bestwick: Let's try this again, green flag will fly at lap 33, let's go FULL THROTTLE with GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY!

(Full Throttle graphic)

(Lap 84 - Caution 3)

Allen Bestwick: Pits are open here at lap 82! Leader is in! Dr. Punch?

Dr. Jerry Punch: 4 tires and fuel for the 3 of Otto Rocket. Car is still too tight on entry. Track bar adjustment complete and he's away! Meanwhile, the 16 of Danny Fenton going for 4 tires and fuel as well. That track bar adjustment they did on the last stop worked perfectly, so no changes on this 16 car! He's away! Dave Burns?

Dave Burns: 4 tires and fuel for the 11 of Yugi Moto, no changes on the FedEx Toyota and he's away! Teammate Timmy Turner also going with 4 tires and fuel, just a minor wedge adjustment. That's complete and Turner's away! Jamie?

Jamie Little: Tommy Pickles gives up the lead to come in here at lap 84, he has Cindy Vortex and Kick Buttowski behind him. 4 tires and fuel for the 24 and he's away! Meanwhile, service already complete on the 10 of Vortex, they made a wedge adjustment to tighten her car up in the center.....and she's smoking!

Andy Petree: Looks like a busted axle there, Jamie.

Allen Bestwick: Caution out for the 10. 84 laps complete here at the Brickyard, now under the yellow for the 3rd time, 10 of Cindy Vortex stalled at the exit of pit road.

(10 Team Communications)

Cindy: Don't know how.....but I think we broke an axle on that last stop.

Jimmy: 10-4. Let's get the car to the garage, see if we can fix it up.

Cindy: 10-4.

Allen Bestwick: 85 laps complete here at the Brickyard, Joey Wheeler is your race leader as we go NASCAR NONSTOP presented by Golden Corral.

(NASCAR NONSTOP)

(RESTART: Lap 91 - 7 caution laps)

Allen Bestwick: We have 69 laps to go this time by, green flag back in the air, Otto Rocket gets a great jump on the restart, leaves Yugi Moto in his dust!

(11 Team Communications)

Yugi: Not if I can help it! I PLAY THE SWORDS OF REVEALING LIGHT! Now Otto can't move for 3 laps!

Dale Jarrett: Uh, guys....you might want to see this.

Andy Petree: Looks like the 3 car is stalled out near the backstretch. And I think I know the culprit....

Allen Bestwick: NEW LEADER! Yugi Moto in the 11 car! He takes the lead in the most unorthodox of ways as he trapped Otto Rocket in a wall of swords. The King of Games strikes again!

(3 Team Communications)

Twister: Yo, Otto-man! You alright?

Otto: Not really. I'm trapped behind these swords for 3 laps!

Reggie: Aw, great.....Yugi played the Swords of Revealing Light on us!

Twister: I never knew you were a Duelist, Reggie!

Reggie: Well, I am! And I have just the solution! I PLAY DE-SPELL! This will free Otto from Yugi's Swords of Revealing Light!

Otto: Thanks, Rocket Girl.

Reggie: No problemo, Otto! Now get back out there! We got a yellow!

Allen Bestwick: Caution flag comes out for the 3 car. It's our 4th of the afternoon, coming out here at lap 92. NASCAR officials are telling us that due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, they're gonna have Otto line up in the 18th position for the restart, when we get it.

(11 Team Communications)

Yugi: How was that jerk able to get out of the Swords of Revealing Light?

Pegasus: Apparently, his own sister, who's also his spotter....is a Duelist! She played the De-Spell card on us!

Yugi: That purple-haired scoundrel!

Tea: Between you and me, Yugi.....I don't think that's her natural hair color.

(RESTART: Lap 96 - 5 caution laps)

Allen Bestwick: This time by, we'll have 96 laps on the board, green flag is out! Let's go UP TO SPEED with Nationwide Insurance! We start with Mike Massaro.

Mike Massaro: Yugi Moto got the lead in the most unorthodox of ways on the last restart, he now leads by half a second over the 16 of Danny Fenton. During that last caution, he told his crew that his car is way too free on entry and too tight off. Expect them to take a major swing at this 11 car on their next stop, which will happen around lap 120. Dave Burns?

Dave Burns: Danny Fenton among those who pitted at lap 82, he is the reverse of the 11. Too tight on entry and loose off. Some big adjustments coming the 16's way at lap 120. Jamie?

Jamie Little: Tommy Pickles runs 3rd, he radioed in before the last yellow saying the car is better than it was when the green flag fell. That could mean some major trouble for the rest of the field as we get later into the race. Meanwhile, Phineas Flynn, running 4th, says is car is 'bad loose' through 1 and 2, 'mad tight' through 3 and 4. Expect some major adjustments on the next stop for the 43. Dr. Jerry Punch?

Dr. Jerry Punch: Timmy Turner in car #20, tied with Phineas Flynn with 3 wins, looking for his first Brickyard 400 win. He's running 5th right now. Earlier in the race, he reported of a vibration in the right rear. On that pit stop on lap 82, changed all 4 tires, the vibration has passed, he's up inside the top 5 right now, setting his sights on a Brickyard 400 win.

(Lap 116 - Caution 5)

Allen Bestwick: Spin in turn 4! That's Ferb Fletcher in the 9! He will collect the 47 of Ben Tennyson and the 31 of Jeremy Johnson! Caution is out!

Andy Petree: And these were a couple of really good racecars, guys with wins who were solidly in the Chase. We take a look and see how this occurred....this all started in the middle of turn 4, 9 car of Ferb Fletcher just got a little loose, Ben Tennyson in the 47....just had nowhere to go.

Allen Bestwick: Pits are open and we will go NASCAR NONSTOP presented by Valvoline!

(NASCAR NONSTOP)

(RESTART: Lap 124 - 8 caution laps)

Allen Bestwick: You saw in the NASCAR Nonstop, Tommy Pickles called for speeding on pit road, he'll restart 27th with 36 laps to go here at the Brickyard. It's Moto, Turner, Possible, Test and Rocket as we are back to green flag racing at Indianapolis and we take you FULL THROTTLE!

(Full Throttle graphic)

(Lap 154 - Caution 6)

Allen Bestwick: SPIN IN TURN 3! THAT'S THE 21 OF STORM SHADOW! HE SLAMS THE OUTSIDE WALL, OIL EVERYWHERE.....CAUTION!

Dale Jarrett: My word! That 21 was having a great season so far, up inside the top 30 in points.

Andy Petree: This is gonna set up a little overtime here at the Brickyard. Anything can and will happen here at the Brickyard when we go into overtime.

Allen Bestwick: Under NASCAR rules, we'll have up to 3 attempts, if necessary, at a green-white-checker finish. We'll get the green flag first, then the white flag, then the checkered flag. If the leader takes the white flag under green, next flag ends it. If not, we will try again.

(RESTART: Lap 162 - 8 caution laps)

Allen Bestwick: Rocket, Turner, Flynn, Pickles and Moto are your top 5 as we go into overtime! 2 LAPS TO GO! Turner gets loose, now look who's 2nd! Phineas Flynn in the 43! He's looking for that $2,000,000 bonus! He goes low on the 3 through turn 4 and he will take the lead coming to the white flag! ONE MORE LAP TO GO AT THE BRICKYARD!

(43 Team Communications)

Isabella: One to go, Phineas. You got this! Bring it home!

Allen Bestwick: Rocket with a banzai move to the outside through turn 3! He draws even through 4! CHECKERED FLAG.....PHINEAS FLYNN WINS THE BRICKYARD 400 AND ANOTHER $2,000,000!

(43 Team Communications)

Phineas: Guys, I know what we're gonna do today! We're gonna climb that fence and kiss the bricks!

Isabella: Hey, Phineas.....

Phineas: Yeah, Isabella?

Isabella: Why would you kiss a bunch of bricks when you could be kissing me instead?

(Victory Lane)

Dave Burns: Phineas Flynn, your 4th win on the year, first at the Brickyard, how's it feel to claim victory at the world's most famous track?

Phineas: Feels great, Dave. Richard Petty, our car owner, never got to race here in his career. So to bring a Brickyard win to him....I can't even put it into words. Richard's earned this victory. I'll get my Brickyard trophy when I earn it. This is just unbelievable! What a way to start ESPN's final season of NASCAR.

Dave Burns: Phineas Flynn brings an Indianapolis victory to Richard Petty and claims his 4th victory of the year in the Brickyard 400!
