Welcome to Talladega Superspeedway for race 6 of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, the CAMPINGWORLD.COM 500, live here on NBCSN! Our coverage is presented by Castrol GTX Magnatec. And hello again, everyone. Alongside 'The Mayor', Jeff Burton and crew chief Steve Letarte, I'm Rick Allen. Thanks for having us in for the race. Steve, this is the biggest wild card of the Chase. The Big Wreck can happen anywhere on track at any moment. What else makes this race such a wild card?
Steve Letarte: Rick, we saw what happened last year with that extra 2000 feet between the trioval and start/finish line with Kasey Khane. At the trioval, Khane was 4th and into the next round. He loses 9 positions between there and start/finish, winds up outside of the top 8, Gordon advances. The Eliminator 8 may not truly be decided until the last lap.
Rick Allen: Set to go 500 miles here in Talladega to determine the Eliminator 8. Let's head down trackside.

Rick Allen: Take a look now at our Sunoco fuel strategy of the race - 188 laps for 500 miles around Talladega. Pit road speed - 45 MPH and the pit window, roughly 44-48 laps. Pace vehicle to pit lane! Field out of turn 4, into the NBC Sports restart zone, GREEN FLAG IN THE AIR! WE'RE RACING IN TALLADEGA! Lap 1 to Tommy Pickles, that nets the 24 an important bonus point. As they run right now, he would make it into the Round of 8 as would the 88 of Kim Possible by virtue of her win last week in Kansas.
