FOX?

(NASCAR on FOX 2001-2007; 2016-present theme)

Mike Joy: It is a beautiful spring day here in Phoenix as we welcome you to the Phoenix International Raceway for the 2nd race of the West Coast Swing, race 4 of the season, the Good Sam 500, live here on FOX! We're high atop Rattlesnake Hill to bring you all the action here in Phoenix. Hi again, everyone. Alongside Darrell Waltrip and 4 time Sprint Cup champion Jeff Gordon, I'm Mike Joy. 3 races have seen 2 out of the 3 makes win a race. When will we see Toyota head for Victory Lane? Will it be tonight?

DW: It might be tonight, Mike. Those Toyotas put up some good times in final practice, they've shown good speed throughout the weekend. I would be shocked not to see one of those Toyotas win.

Jeff Gordon: There's a lot of power in Toyota's corner - Wheeler, Moto, Turner, Puppy....all up inside the top 25. JGR has guns ablaze here once more. They may just be able to cool off the Valley of the Sun.

Mike Joy: We are set to go for 500 kilometers here in Phoenix. Let's head down trackside!

Track Announcer: Race fans, it's time for the most famous words in motorsports! Please welcome our grand marshal, chief marketing officer for Good Sam, MARK BOGGESS!

Mark Boggess: Phoenix, are you ready?! I said Phoenix, ARE YOU READY TO GET THIS RACE STARTED?! DRIVERS! START! YOUR! ENGINES!

(43 850 horsepower engines fire up)

Mike Joy: 43 engines roar to life here in Phoenix as we take a look at our Camping World starting line up for this 500 kilometer race:

43. Homer Simpson (26)

Jeff Gordon: 312 laps/312 miles, that's 500 kilometers here in Phoenix, one of only 4 races on the schedule that are measured in kilometers. 54-58 laps is the pit window and it's 50 MPH down the pit lane. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more pit penalties here this year than we did last year.

DW: Tom, Otto....you finished 1-2 in Daytona, you're 1-2 in the points, I expect a clean start here. Pace car to pit lane, green flag in the air.....BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY! LET'S GO RACIN' IN THE DESERT, BOYS....AND DANICA! Gonna CRANK IT UP on the start!

(Crank It Up graphic)

(Lap 51 - Caution 1)

Mike Joy: 51 laps complete here in Phoenix.....

DW: Car in the wall, turn 2!

Jeff Gordon: That's Guy Hamdon in the 41, looks like a blown tire on that car, caution is out.

DW: Too much braking, too much camber....he melted the bead on that right front tire.

Mike Joy: First caution out here on lap 52, pits open this time by and here they come! Chris Neville?

Chris Neville: First to act on pit lane is the 42 of Johnny Test, 4 tires and fuel for the 42 and he's away! Jamie Little?

Jamie Little: In comes Otto Rocket, defending Phoenix winner, 4 tire change for the 3 and he's away! Vince Welch?

Vince Welch: 4 tires and fuel for Tom Majors in the 21, wedge adjustment already complete and he's away!

Top 10:

1. Tom Majors (21)
2. Edd (4)
3. Marco Diaz (25)
4. Johnny Test (42)
5. Tommy Pickles (24)

7. Timmy Turner (20)
8. Ashley Armbruster (15)

(RESTART: Lap 58 - 5 caution laps)

Mike Joy: Uncontrolled tire on the 11 of Yugi Moto, he'll restart 36th as we go back to green! Guy Hamdon has wheeled his 41 car into the garage after losing the right front tire on his car.

Jeff Gordon: Great run so far from the 25 of Marco Diaz. He raced his butt off to finish 3rd in the championship last year as you see him get by the 4 of Edd for 2nd.....

DW: Bringing along a little passenger!

Jeff Gordon: 42 of Johnny Test coming along for the ride!

Mike Joy: Edd falling back to 4th, about to lose that spot to Tommy Pickles in the 24 and Atticus Rhodes in the 2! Matt Yocum?

Matt Yocum: Mike, I talked with Nazz Van Bartonschmeer, crew chief on the 4 car. She told me that Edd's been reporting of a bad vibration in the left front, possibly a loose wheel on the 4.

(Lap 105 - Caution 2)

Mike Joy: CAR IN THE WALL, TURN 2! ANOTHER OF THE STEWART-HAAS CARS FINDS TROUBLE!

Jeff Gordon: This time, it's the 10 of Ben Tennyson.....

DW: Another right front tire gone on that car.

Jeff Gordon: Caution is out and that makes 2 of the Stewart-Haas cars with tire issues.

(RESTART: Lap 112 - 7 caution laps)

Mike Joy: 200 laps to go here in Phoenix, we go back green and we CRANK IT UP!

(Crank It Up graphic)

(Lap 163 - Caution 3)

Mike Joy: 17 car hard into the wall!

DW: Another tire issue.

Jeff Gordon: Caution comes out again. Goodyear has seriously got to check these tires!

(RESTART: Lap 169 - 6 caution laps)

Mike Joy: We haven't gotten in more than 55 laps without a yellow. Let's see if we have better luck this time as Dudley Puppy leads us to the restart! GREEN FLAG!

DW: Got us a race for the lead right here! Dudley Puppy in the 19, Edd in the 4, Otto Rocket in the 3!

Jeff Gordon: 3 wide rarely works here, someone's gotta give here because one of them nearly caused a big wreck!

Mike Joy: That wreck was almost race leader Dudley Puppy! And the master of Phoenix last year, Otto Rocket, takes over the lead! Vince Welch has an update for us. Vince?

Vince Welch: Arnold Shortman has been released from the infield medical center. What happened there, Arnold?

Arnold: I just blew a tire....slammed the wall hard, just couldn't save it. We got a caution on the track.

Mike Joy: Ezra Bridger is sideways in turn 3, caution out for the 4th time tonight here on lap 174.

(RESTART: Lap 179 - 5 caution laps)

Mike Joy: 179 of 312 laps complete, time to wake the neighbors and CRANK IT UP!

(Crank It Up graphic)

(Lap 264 - Caution 5)

Mike Joy: 58 laps still to go here in Phoenix, under caution for the 5th time tonight, this one for debris. Final stops of the night coming up and here they come down pit lane! Matt Yocum?

Matt Yocum: Final stop of the night for the master of Phoenix, Otto Rocket. 4 tires and fuel for the 3, he's away! Vince Welch?

Vince Welch: 4 tire change for the 16 of Danny Fenton. He won here in 2014, guess what happened that year? He won the title. He's away! Jamie Little?

Jamie Little: 4 tires and fuel for the 4 of Edd, no adjustments this time and he's away! Chris Neville?

Chris Neville: 4 tire change for Marco Diaz, no adjustments on the 25 and he's away!

Top 10:

1. Marco Diaz (25)
2. Otto Rocket (3)
3. Edd (4)
4. Abigail Lincoln (5)
5. Danny Fenton (16)
6. Timmy Turner (20)
7. Tom Majors (21)
8. Ashley Armbruster (15)
9. Phineas Flynn (43)
10. Ezra Bridger (14)

(RESTART: Lap 270 - 6 caution laps)

Mike Joy: 42 laps to go in the Valley of the Sun, everyone can make it from here as we get a Claritin Clear to Drive RESTART!

DW: Aw, LOOSE! LOOSE!

Jeff Gordon: Matt Quinlan in the 6 came dangerously close to wiping out half the field!

Mike Joy: And that could've included 15th place driver Riley Anderson, who has been really lighting it up for BK Racing!

Jeff Gordon: What a story for this young driver out of San Francisco. She didn't know she'd be in this car until just before the New Year and she's already in the top 20 in points and contending for wins!

DW: Future's looking bright for BK Racing, boys.

(Lap 308 - Caution 6)

Mike Joy: CRASH IN TURN 4! NIKKI WONG AND ASHLEY ARMBRUSTER INVOLVED! And we are going into OVERDRIVE!

DW: Strap yourselves in, boys!

Jeff Gordon: GREEN-WHITE-CHECKER!

(RESTART: Lap 316 - 8 caution laps)

Mike Joy: Green-White-Checker! All we need is a clean restart and we'll have ourselves a race! NASCAR on FOX Overdrive presented by CreditOne Bank - Official Bank of NASCAR. Dudley Puppy to the lead, we have ourselves a race! WHITE FLAG! Next flag ends it!

Jeff Gordon: Here comes that 25, Diaz has to make his move now!

DW: Here he comes down the backstretch!

Mike Joy: We have never had a last lap pass for the win here in Phoenix. Could that change here tonight? Here comes Diaz down low! They touch once, twice, at the line......

All: DUDLEY PUPPY!

Mike Joy: By one-thousandth of a second, DUDLEY PUPPY WINS IN PHOENIX!

(19 Team Communications)
