(NASCAR on FOX 2001-2007 theme)

Mike Joy: Last Sunday night, Kim Possible etched her name in racing history as the first driver to pull off what everyone thought was impossible....WIN THE MEMORIAL DAY TRIPLE-HEADER! Today, she starts 35th here at the track where one false move could send you into the mouth of the MONSTER MILE. We welcome you to Dover, Delaware and the Dover International Speedway for the final NASCAR on FOX telecast of the season....the FEDEX 400 benefiting AUTISM SPEAKS! This is NASCAR on FOX! Welcome to Dover, everybody. I'm Mike Joy with my colleagues all season long, Larry MacReynolds and Darrell Waltrip. DW, we've reached the halfway point in the Race to the Chase. History tells us that whoever's in the top 12 when we leave here has a pretty good chance of staying there when we get to Richmond in September. Who do you think, out of our wild card contenders, has the best chance to make the Chase?

DW: I'm likin' those MWR machines, Ashley Armbruster and Vince Lasalle. My brother's been giving them good cars. It's just a matter of getting quality finishes.

Larry Mac: The 56 and 15 are threats going into this race here in Dover, but I'm keeping my eye on the RCR boys, the Eds. If they can get their act together, get some wins, they'll have a shot at making the Chase and possibly winning the title when we get to Homestead in November!

Mike Joy: Quickly, who's your title pick?

DW: 1 car, Nigel Uno. He'll be your 2012 champion.

Larry Mac: If the Eds make the Chase, they'll be a threat. Out of our current top 12, it's either going to be a Hendrick driver or the 42 of Trixie Tang.

Mike Joy: NASCAR on FOX's final race of 2012 set to get underway, let's go trackside for the command.

Track Announcer: Race fans, here to say the most famous words in motorsports, the original host of Nickelodeon's 'DOUBLE DARE' and host of Food Network's 'UNWRAPPED', Delaware Valley native MARC SUMMERS!

Marc Summers: DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES!

(43 800 horsepower engines rev up)

Mike Joy: Our FedEx starting grid shows that Trixie Tang takes her first pole position of the year. Danny Fenton was supposed to start 2nd but Miles the Monster had other plans. Danny's engine blew up, he changed engines on that 16 car and will have to move to the rear of the field because of it. While you take a look at the grid and see where your favorite driver's starting, let's ring up Miss Trixie Tang, she's our polesitter.

DW: Trixie Tang, this is Darrell Waltrip in the FOX Sports booth. You got a copy?

Trixie: I hear ya, Darrell! Go ahead.

DW: Trixie, you're starting on point today. We have 400 laps to run on the Monster Mile and you saw how difficult this track was in final practice yesterday. How do you think your car is gonna handle 400 miles here?

Trixie: First off, this is my first time here. I've barely seen the track up until now. I think we can handle this. If we can't, I hope we make the Chase so we can have our revenge when we come back here in September.

DW: Well, good luck today, Trixie.

Trixie: Thank you and see you guys in Daytona 2013!

DW: 10-4.

Mike Joy: 400 laps, 400 miles due up here in Dover. Let's take a look at our VISA Race Rundown:

Distance: 400 laps/400 miles
Pit Window: 85-90 laps
Purse: $4,120,000

Larry Mac: Now for our last FedEx UNDERSTANDING THE RACE of the season:

First Caution: Lap 30
Number of Cautions: 8 (Record: 16 (1993))
Number of Pit Stops: 6
Final Caution: Lap 385

Mike Joy: A 5 foot tall statue of Miles the Monster awaits the winner of this race after 400 greuling miles here in Dover.

Larry Mac: DW, it's 8 months until the Bud Shootout of 2013 and the return of NASCAR on FOX! For the final time in 2012, it's time to REACH UP THERE AND PULL THOSE BELTS TIGHT ONE MORE TIME!

DW: BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY! SEE YOU IN DAYTONA, BOYS!

Mike Joy: Trixie Tang sets sail right out of the gate and she'll get the bonus point for leading lap 1!

Larry Mac: We have a catfight for the lead! Armbruster in the 15, Tang in the 42! Tang's gonna take this lap as well but look at the run Armbruster gets in the 15 coming off of 2 and she'll take the lead away from Trixie Tang!

(Lap 74)

Mike Joy: Debris on the track has brought out the first caution of the race 74 laps into the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks. Ginger Foutley will get the free pass as she's the first car a lap down in the 38th spot. 5 other cars will take the wave around. Pit stops upcoming. Here they come! Krista?

Krista Voda: Mike, race leader Ashley Armbruster reports that her car is 'Like, totally loose'. They'll make a track bar adjustment, 4 tires and fuel for the 15 car, she's away! Steve?

Steve Byrnes: Krista, Tommy Pickles radioed in to crew chief Chuckie Finster that his car's a rocket as usual. 4 tires and fuel, no adjustments for this 24 car. He's down and away! Dick?

Dick Berggren: Polesitter Trixie Tang says 'CHANGE NOTHING'! 4 tires and fuel for the 42, she's away and she'll win the race off pit row!

Top 10:

1. Trixie Tang (42)
2. Tommy Pickles (24)
3. Nigel Uno (1)
4. Joey Wheeler (18)
5. Timmy Turner (17)
6. Edd (29)
7. Kick Buttowski (14)
8. Phineas Flynn (43)
9. Kim Possible (88)
10. Hoagie Gilligan (2)

(RESTART: Lap 80 (6 caution laps))

Mike Joy: GREEN FLAG! RESTART, LAP 80! TURN UP THOSE VOLUME DIALS, LET'S CRANK IT UP!

(Lap 166)

Mike Joy: BIG PILEUP, BACK STRAIGHTAWAY! LOOKS LIKE 10 CARS IN IT! BOTH RAB RACING CARS INVOLVED, ALL OF FRONT ROW MOTORSPORTS, THE 87 IS IN IT! THE 22'S INVOLVED!

Larry Mac: Caution is out. It's our 2nd of the race and it comes right after we had got out of green flag stops.

(2 hours later)

(RESTART: Lap 181 (15 caution laps))

Mike Joy: GREEN FLAG! 219 LAPS TO GO IN DOVER!

Spinelli (Vince's spotter): Rain in the area, Vince. It's about 30 minutes from the track. You have to get past that 15 car AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Vince: 10-4.

Mike Joy: Ashley Spinelli, the spotter for the 56, reporting rain in the vicinity of the Dover International Speedway.

Larry Mac: You take a look at the map and you see that there's a lot of green just to the south of us. Sunset here is at around 8:44 PM local time. It takes around 2 hours to dry the track once this rain passes. We do have a little window to get this race in but it's all dependent on whether or not DW's 'vortex theory' holds true.

(Lap 270)

Mike Joy: Well, just after a cycle of green flag stops, our 3rd caution of the race has come out....for rain. 130 laps to go, Larry Mac. What do you think? Will we get the full race in?

Larry Mac: We might because, as I said earlier, once this storm passes, it takes around 2 hours to dry the track. Sunset isn't until 8:44 local time here in Dover. Now, we do not have lights here. Depending on the number of cautions, we could be cutting it close.

(3 hours later)

(RESTART: Lap 284 (14 caution laps))

Mike Joy: GREEN FLAG! 116 LAPS TO GO! IT'S A RACE AGAINST THE SUN HERE IN DOVER!

Larry Mac: Look at that 56 car! As soon as he got the word that there was rain, he's been on a roll!

DW: Give this 56 car a clutch situation and the team will deliver!

(Lap 310)

Mike Joy: The 37 car has spun in turn 3 to bring out our 4th caution of the day with 90 laps to go here in Dover as we're right on the edge of the window to make it to the end on one stop. Larry Mac, what do you think?

Larry Mac: Don't pit just yet. I think these drivers will wait until the next yellow or until lap 360, whichever comes first.

(RESTART: Lap 318 (8 caution laps))

Mike Joy: 82 LAPS TO GO! LET'S CRANK IT UP ONE MORE TIME IN 2012, SHALL WE?

(Crank It Up graphic)

(Lap 352)

Mike Joy: 48 laps to go here in Dover as we're under the 5th caution of the race for debris in the backstretch. Here they come! Final pit stops for NASCAR on FOX in 2012! Matt Yocum?

Matt Yocum: Race leader Ashley Armbruster says that her car is flyin'! 4 tires and fuel, no adjustments for the 15, she's away! Steve?

Steve Byrnes: Matt, Danny Fenton started at the rear, made his way the 4th before the yellow. 4 tires and fuel for the 16, no adjustments for Fenton, he's away! Dick?

Dick Berggren: Our polesitter Trixie Tang still saying not to change anything on this 42 car. 4 tires and fuel for Tang, she's down and away and she'll win the race off pit row!

Top 10:

1. Trixie Tang (42)
2. Ashley Armbruster (15)
3. Tommy Pickles (24)
4. Nigel Uno (1)
5. Kim Possible (88)
6. Danny Fenton (16)
7. Abigail Lincoln (5)
8. Phineas Flynn (43)
9. Timmy Turner (17)
10. Hoagie Gilligan (2)

(RESTART: Lap 361 (9 caution laps))

Mike Joy: GREEN FLAG! 39 LAPS TO GO IN DOVER! CATFIGHT FOR THE LEAD! 42 OF OUR POLESITTER, TRIXIE TANG, 15 OF ASHLEY ARMBRUSTER! WHO'S GONNA TAKE IT?

Larry Mac: Tang leads that lap! Here comes Armbruster on the outside with a push from Tommy Pickles in that 24 car!

(Lap 387)

Mike Joy: Our 5th caution of the race is out for oil on the track and there is your culprit, Peter Griffin in the 93.

Peter: LOIS! You're supposed to be my 2nd set of eyes and ears on the track! Why didn't you tell me to come in?

Lois: I didn't know, okay? Bring it in, we'll try to rebound at Pocono.

Peter: 10-4.

(RESTART: Lap 396 (9 caution laps))

Mike Joy: 4 LAPS TO GO IN DOVER! GREEN FLAG IS OUT! IT'S ON!

Larry Mac: Trixie Tang just set sail on the field off the restart, leaving the 15 behind in her dust. Ashley Armbruster has now fallen into the clutches of the 24 of Tommy Pickles! 2 LAPS TO GO!

DW: Last lap, the 42 ran a 23.96 to the 15's 23.90. The 15's six tenths of a second faster than the 42. It's gonna be close. Armbruster's gonna catch the 42. I'm not so sure if she'll be able to pass Tang as we get the WHITE FLAG! FINAL LAP!

Mike Joy: FINAL LAP OF NASCAR ON FOX IN 2012! IT'S TANG VS. ARMBRUSTER! HALF A MILE TO GO!

Larry Mac: The 15 got a good run off the backstretch, she's got one shot at this!! She has to make it count!

Mike Joy: ASHLEY ARMBRUSTER TRIES UP HIGH, NOTHING THERE! SHE'S GONNA GO DOWN LOW, TANG WILL MAKE THE BLOCK! HERE THEY COME, CHECKERED FLAG IS OUT! TRIXIE TANG WILL WIN THE FEDEX 400 BENEFITING AUTISM SPEAKS!

Trixie: YEAH! AWESOME JOB, GUYS! YOU THINK YOU'RE ALL THAT, PICKLES....BUT YOU'RE NOT EVEN CLOSE!

(after the burnout)

Dick Berggren: Trixie Tang becomes the 4th female to win on the circuit this year by taming the Monster Mile. Trixie, take us through those last few laps.

Trixie: I don't know what happened. The 15 and 24 were breathing down my neck. Prior to that last caution, the 24 gave a push to the 15 coming off of 2. WHAT IS THIS, DAYTONA? YOU DON'T BUMP DRAFT AT DOVER! I love and respect Tommy and his friends, I watched the Rugrats practically every day after school. However, when it came down to it, it's no holds barred action. Your friends are where you can find 'em. This Target/Madagascar: Europe's Most Wanted Chevrolet was a well-oiled machine today. Veronica Star, my best friend and crew chief did an excellent job. It's great to be back in the hunt and we'll see you in Pocono! Oh, by the way, Dick. Congratulations on your retirement. Best of luck in whatever you decide to do next.

Dick Berggren: Thank you, Trixie. Trixie Tang is your 4th female winner on the Sprint Cup Series this year. She's your winner in Dover.

That huge multi-car crash reminded me of the one that happened earlier this year.

And I think DW may be showing just a hint of bias towards his brother's team; perhaps Kyle Petty will show just a hint of bias towards Phineas and Ferb...

Still, nice touch with making it quite literally a race against time; it's not something I would've thought of!

And you know, what :icondarthwill3: is pitching with the PowerPuff Girls sounds like something that actually happened between Marvin Panch and Tiny Lund, don't you think? ;)
