TBS?

Adam Alexander (narration): Last Sunday, NASCAR took a right turn in Sonoma, where Tommy Pickles brought shades of Jeff Gordon with him en route to his 2nd victory of the season. Tonight, we head to the Sprint Cup Series' newest track, the Kentucky Speedway, as some of NASCAR's best look for a victory that could put them back into Chase contention. The Quaker State 400 starts.....NOW!

(NASCAR on CBS 1998-2000 theme and opening)

Adam Alexander: Welcome to the Bluegrass State! We're in Sparta, Kentucky, about 45 minutes west of Louisville, at the Kentucky Speedway for the running of the Sprint Cup Series' newest race, the QUAKER STATE 400! Among the principles for tonight's race, Tommy Pickles, your points leader since Bristol. The RCR boys, Ed, Edd and Eddy. All 3 of whom need a season-saving victory. Also, Phineas and Ferb, 2 more drivers winless in 2012. They need a win to have a shot at the title. Welcome to Kentucky, everyone! With Kyle Petty and Wally Dallenbach, I'm Adam Alexander. Thanks for having us in for the race. Kyle, we start with you. We take a look that the standings with 10 races to go before the Chase. We know that Pickles, Possible, Lincoln and Uno are safe. Who do you think is gonna get bumped out and who do you think is safe?

Kyle Petty: Well, taking a look at the points after Sonoma last week, we already have 3 Hendrick drivers in the Chase. Flynn and Fletcher don't have any wins on the year. Phineas Flynn's already up there in points, he's 4th. Ferb's mired back in 13th, but he's in wild card contention. However, they both need wins for those very valuable bonus points. You also see 2 Roush-Fenway drivers, Timmy Turner and Danny Fenton, they're in the hunt. If Dudley Puppy even has a chance to make the Chase, he'll have to start winning. A perfect place to start would be here at Kentucky because the Roush boys have been dominant on the mile and a half tracks this year.

Wally Dallenbach: Yeah, Kyle. They always finish well on these tracks. Both of their wins this year have come on mile and a half tracks at Kansas and Texas. If there was ever a time for Dudley Puppy to come out on top this season, it would be here in Kentucky.

Adam Alexander: Race 17 of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season about to get underway, let's go trackside for the command.

Track Announcer: Race fans, here to give the command, the stars of Columbia Pictures' 'MEN IN BLACK 3', TOMMY LEE JONES AND WILL SMITH!

Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith: DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES!

(43 engines fire up)

Adam Alexander: Our KFC Starting Lineup will scroll across the top of your screen, Dudley Puppy wins his first pole of the year. Hoagie Gilligan is alongside him. Let's talke with our polesitter, Wally.

Wally Dallenbach: Dudley Puppy, it's Wally Dallenbach in the TBS booth, you copy?

Dudley: 10-4, Wally!

Wally: You're starting on pole tonight and you basically need a win to keep the Chase in your sights. What's the plan?

Dudley: Well, Kitty and I worked out some kinks in this 99 car during practice on Friday. We know we need a win. We knew that our team is dominant on the 1.5 mile tracks and we just have to come here and get a good finish out of tonight.

Wally: Alright, good luck Dudley!

Dudley: 10-4! Thank you, guys!

Adam Alexander: Let's take a look at our BEST BUY Race Analysis:

Distance: 267 laps/400.5 miles
Pit Window: 46-52 laps
Pit Row Speed: 55 MPH
To The Rear: NONE

Adam Alexander: Out of turn 4, pace car is off and the QUAKER STATE 400....IS GREEN!

Kyle Petty: Dudley Puppy wasted no time getting around Hoagie Gilligan for the lead, Adam.

Adam Alexander: Bonus point to Dudley Puppy for leading lap 1 here in Kentucky, here comes Joey Wheeler in the 18 car, he goes side by side with Gilligan for P2!

(Lap 44)

Adam Alexander: Caution out for the first time tonight, a welcome sign for these drivers as they were real close on their window of around 46 laps. There's the reason for the yellow, Jake Long in the 32. Pit stops upcoming, Chris Neville!

Chris Neville: Adam, Ashley Armbruster radioed into her crew chief Ashley Quinlan to take a round out of the track bar. Their gonna do just that. 4 tires and fuel for the 15, she's away! Matt Yocum?

Matt Yocum: Chris, Tommy Pickles started 17th and had worked his way up to 5th before the yellow. He told Chuckie Finster that his car was fine but it's got no forward bite. They'll make a track bar adjustment, 4 tires and fuel for the 24, he's away! Ralph Sheheen?

Ralph Sheheen: Matt, our race leader Dudley Puppy decided to follow suit with what his competitors did. Track bar adjustment, 4 tires and fuel for the 99, he's down and away and he'll win the race off pit row!

Top 10:

1. Dudley Puppy (99)
2. Ashley Armbruster (15)
3. Tommy Pickles (24)
4. Danny Fenton (16)
5. Joey Wheeler (18)
6. Phineas Flynn (43)
7. Hoagie Gilligan (2)
8. Cindy Vortex (10)
9. Kim Possible (88)
10. Jeremy Johnson (39)

LUCKY DOG: Bonnie Rockwaller (21)

(RESTART: Lap 52 (8 caution laps))

Adam Alexander: GREEN FLAG! We restart 52 laps in here in Kentucky and let's get some Sounds of NASCAR!

(Sounds of NASCAR graphic)

(Lap 109)

Adam Alexander: 158 laps to go here in Kentucky, caution out for the 2nd time tonight for debris in turn 3 just after a cycle of green flag pit stops. No takers on pit row this time.

(RESTART: Lap 118 (9 caution laps))

Adam Alexander: HERE WE GO! 149 laps to go in Kentucky! Battle for the lead! Roush-Fenway teammates battle it out! Dudley Puppy in the 99 and Timmy Turner in the 17! Puppy leads that lap! Here comes Turner back on the outside!

(Lap 172)

Adam Alexander: Our 3rd caution of the race has come out with 95 laps to go as the 51 car of Blossom has hit the wall in turn 4. Blossom had been running 8th prior to the crash. These drivers had last been in the pits at lap 168, once again no takers on pit row.

(RESTART: Lap 181 (9 caution laps))

Adam Alexander: RESTART! 181 laps complete! Let's go 'Through the Field' presented by McDonald's! We start with Marty Snider.

Marty Snider: Adam, Dudley Puppy has led 125 of 181 laps so far. This 99 crew has adjusted to the track pretty well but their main concern is that 24 car of Tommy Pickles. Now, Tommy Pickles started 17th, has lead 26 laps and is holding station in 2nd. He likes his car right now but would like to switch places with that 99. Expect to see the 24 and the 99 on pit row for their final stops around lap 208 as we have a car in the wall in turn 2!

Adam Alexander: The 13 car has spun and hit the wall in turn 2! She collects all of Front Row Motorsports to bring out our 4th caution of the race with 83 laps to go here in Kentucky.

(RESTART: Lap 198 (14 caution laps))

Adam Alexander: GREEN FLAG! 69 laps to go! Let's get some more Sounds of NASCAR!

(Sounds of NASCAR graphic)

(Lap 220)

Adam Alexander: Debris on the track has brought out our 5th caution of the race with 47 laps to go in the Quaker State 400. Again, we see no one on pit row as these guys just made their final stops.

Kyle Petty: I'm a little worried about the two drivers who short pitted, Tommy Pickles and Dudley Puppy. They pitted at 208, that's 59 to go. That's just outside of the window to make it to the end on fuel. These cautions are playing right into their hands.

(RESTART: Lap 226 (6 caution laps))

Adam Alexander: 41 laps to go! Dudley Puppy once again gets the jump on Tommy Pickles!

Wally Dallenbach: Puppy has been dominating this race. He's lead 179, make that 180 laps out of the 227 we've run. He's got the bonus point for leading the most laps. That's gonna come in handy in the Chase hunt.

(Lap 252)

Adam Alexander: Caution out for the 6th time for debris in turn 1 with only 15 laps to go here in Kentucky.

(RESTART: Lap 260 (8 caution laps))

Adam Alexander: RESTART! 7 LAPS TO GO IN THE BLUEGRASS STATE!

Wally Dallenbach: We got a spin in turn 1.

Adam Alexander: It's the 37 of Arnold Shortman who has spun in turn 1 to bring out our 7th yellow flag with 7 laps to go and that means we're gonna go green-white-checkered in Kentucky!

(RESTART: Lap 268 (8 caution laps))

Adam Alexander: GREEN-WHITE-CHECKERED! 2 LAPS TO GO IN KENTUCKY! Dudley Puppy wastes no time in setting sail on Tommy Pickles! He's off and running in the backstretch! Off of 4, WHITE FLAG! NEXT FLAG ENDS IT!

Wally Dallenbach: Trouble for the 21, guys!

Adam Alexander: It appears as though Ash Ketchum has used his Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack on the 21 of Bonnie Rockwaller causing her to spin out, CAUTION'S OUT, RACE IS OVER! DUDLEY PUPPY'S GONNA SAVE HIS SEASON WITH A WIN AT KENTUCKY!

Dudley Puppy: HAI-KEE-GEE! I WON!

Kitty Katswell: Congrats, Dudley! (singing) YOU'RE A...TUFF PUPPY! TUFF PUPPY! YOU'RE A TUFF PUPPY! A DOG WHO STICKS HIS NOSE RIGHT WHERE HE KNOWS THE CROOKS'LL BE! YOU'RE A...TUFF PUPPY! TUFF PUPPY! YOU'RE A TUFF PUPPY!

Dudley Puppy: Watch this, Kitty! (out of the car) YEAH! YEAH! THANKS, FANS! (he does a backflip)

(after the burnout)

Marty Snider: Dudley Puppy, you needed a win to keep your Chase hopes alive and you got a win. How's it feel to finally put one in the win column?

Dudley: It feels great, Marty. I finally get to do a Carl Edwards backflip. I finally get to do a burnout and this could be the start of something big! I'd like to thank Kellogg's, Fastenal, Subway, Roush-Fenway Racing, Ford. All of whom do an excellent job every week. We just haven't had the finishes to show for it. Also, thank you, Kitty Katswell, the best crew chief a dog could ever have! Thanks, everyone! We're goin' to Daytona, not our strongest track, but I think Kitty can come up with something. See you then.

That's the Quaker State 400!

That bit with Pikachu using the Thunderbolt was something I didn't see coming; sounds like something I would've done.

And I see you're basing Dudley Puppy on Carl Edwards, nice.
