Bob Varsha: Scott Pruett, a legend in his own right, giving the command to fire engines here in Daytona for the 53rd Rolex 24. We take a look at the Rolex starting grid, Atticus Rhodes with his first career Rolex 24 pole, he's flanked by Maya Santos in the Ganassi Racing 01 car. The Tequila Patron cars of Marco Diaz and Matt Quinlan start 3rd and 4th today. Look back to 8th position and you'll see our defending race winners in Ganassi's superstar car, the 02. The 2013 Sprint Cup Champion, Tommy Pickles, starts 17th on the grid in the Wayne Taylor Racing #10 car. While you take a look at the field and scout out where your driver will be starting, let's dial up our in-race reporter, Marco Diaz. Dorsey?

Marco: Nothing I could've done could've prepared me for this. You have to expect the unexpected. Assume the worst, prepare for the worst and hope that it never happens. That's the EMT's code of honor and it holds true for these 24 hour races. We gotta keep these cars together for 24 hours and hopefully take the checkers this time tomorrow.

Bob Varsha: New leader in GTLM! Johnny Hitswell rests the lead from Yusei Fudo as Marco Diaz has opened up at 2.2 second lead over 2nd place Maya Santos in Prototype class and overall. Reminder - we'll switch over to FOX Sports 2 at 4 PM Eastern, we'll take you to 8 PM there and at 8, we'll go over to FOX Sports 1, where we'll take you to the finish and beyond for a total of 26 hours of coverage from the World Center of Speed.

Bob Varsha: Just like last year, we'll go to FOX Sports 2 under yellow. Caution out as the #23 Dener Motorsports entry of Weevil Underwood has lost a right rear tire....LITERALLY! This will bring out our 2nd full course caution of the race at 58 laps into the 53rd Rolex 24 at Daytona.
