NASCAR Toon Cup: POCONO 400Race 14 of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season takes us to the Pocono Raceway for round 1 of the TBS Summer Series, the POCONO 400. This track is a 2.5 mile TRIANGLE with 3 distinct turns and 3 distinct straightaways. These drivers will be tested all throughout these 160 laps. SpongeBob SquarePants was supposed to make his first start of the year here at Pocono, but wrecked his car in practice and fractured his right arm. His schedule's been cut from 12 races to 6, starting at Atlanta. Also, Rudy Tabootie's schedule has been cut to 7 races so he'll be eligible for the Rookie of the Year award in 2013. His next race will at Bristol in August.
NASCAR Toon Cup: FEDEX 400Well, it's FOX's final race of the 2012 season as it takes us to Dover, Delaware and the MONSTER MILE, DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY! Today, we race the FEDEX 400 benefiting AUTISM SPEAKS. It's the first and only race on the schedule that's dedicated to a non-profit organization. For those of you expecting to hear from Leigh Diffey, Dorsey Schroeder and David Hobbs, they'll be back at 9:30 AM to take you to the finish of this one. Until then, we'll take you through all the action here at the WORLD CENTER OF SPEED. I'm John Roberts with Phil Parsons and Rick Allen. Guys, welcome to Daytona. Speedweeks 2013 is here at last, back to racing and what better way to start than with the ROLEX 24?

Rick Allen: John, this is unlike any race we've ever done. This is 24 hours of no holds barred racing. To win, you must outlast a series of challenges such as fatigue, darkness and racing all-stars.

Phil Parsons: Rick, this late night part of the race is where we lose a lot of competitors. We've lost 7 cars already, it's gonna be interesting to see how many more cars we lose before the sun comes up just after 7 AM this morning.

John Roberts: 10 hours down, 14 to go and our 7th full course caution is out for debris in turn 6....and now the rain starts to fall.

Phil Parsons: These drivers just stopped on pit row on lap 330, we shouldn't expect another stop under the yellow here.

Bob Varsha: Back here at Daytona International Speedway, full course caution is out for the 8th time and it's for rain. It rained a little bit here earlier yesterday, it's raining harder now as we are just 7 laps shy of 400 laps into the 51st running of the ROLEX 24.

John Roberts: 11 hours into the Rolex 24 at Daytona, still under our 8th full course caution for rain and it looks as though we could be under the yellow for quite a while.

Bob Varsha: Caution #8 still out here at Daytona for rain, race control has decided to bring the cars down pit lane under the red flag. First time since 2005 that the Rolex 24 has been red flagged. However, the clock will continue to run to the checkered flag at 3:30 in the afternoon today no matter what flag we're under. We'll be right back with more of our live flag to flag coverage of the 51st ROLEX 24 right here on SPEED!

We're halfway through the Rolex 24, so that's 12 hours to go. I do 3 hours in each part, so that's 4 more parts. I can't do a 24 hour race in one part, it's just too much!

It's happened before in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, more recently in 2004 and 2005.
