Another Stanley Cup before the end of the decade and they'll be the most dominant team of the 2010s. Their first challenge of the new year comes in the form of Dick Grayson and the Penguins, who are riding a 6 game unbeaten streak and look to continue their rise in the Eastern Conference. Kenny Albert: They call it The Rock....this is Prudential Center in Newark, site of this NHL matchup, game 1 of a doubleheader here on FOX as tonight, the Stanley Cup champion Devils take on the Pittsburgh Penguins! This is the NHL on FOX. Hello, everyone. Alongside Mickey Redmond, I'm Kenny Albert. We'll check in with Chris Myers and Matt Yocum at ice level a little later on. First, of course, we welcome in Mickey Redmond. Mickey, these 2 teams are 4th and 5th in the Metro Division. They hold the Wild Card positions in their division. Devils are looking to move into the division lead. How can they do that against a very physical Penguins team?
Mickey Redmond: The Devils need to find a way to slow down Dick Grayson. He's gotten on a tear as of late - 4 goals in the last 6 games with 3 multi-point games in that span. He's one player you can't trifle with because he can and will burn you. The Devils' best chance will lie in that first line - Tommy Pickles, Dil Pickles and Phil Deville. If those 3 produce the way we've seen them produce on offense all season, the Devils win this game.
Kenny Albert: Thank you, Mickey. We take a look at our officiating crew - Tom Chimelewski and Dennis LaRue are the referees, Thor Nelson and Derek Amell patrol the lines.
